Sunday night saw the Varsity team squaring off against Roxana at the Alton Ice Rink. The Blue Rage were first on the scoreboard with a goal from T. Rainbolt (assist C. Flynn) at 6:00 in the first period. A. Nickens then scored at 2:19 to put the Blue Rage ahead by 2 at the end of the first period.
The Blue Rage drive continued through the second period with goals at 8:00 by C. Pees (assist A. Nickens) and again at 5:56 with A. Nickens scoring his second of the night.The Shells rallied in the third period and were able to score two goals before time ran out. The final score of 4-2 was a direct result of fantastic teamwork and great passing by the Blue Rage. The boys did a great job of controlling the puck and the game.
Come out tomorrow night to see if the Blue Rage Varsity team can extend their winning streak as they play Highland at 8:15 in Fairview. GO BLUE RAGE!!!
