Varsity Ends Regular Season with Win

The Blue Rage varsity team was victorious over Timberland tonight with a final score of 6-2. The Blue Rage took advantage of the short Timberland bench by keeping the pace high and the pressure constant. J. York was the first to score at 8:55 in the first (asst. D. Reiking). D. Reiking then scored a goal of his own (asst. B. Bittle) at 1:10 and the first period ended with Freeburg ahead 2-0. Timberland scored 2 goals in the second period. It was D. Zipfel that put Freeburg back on top with 2:51 left in the second (asst. C. Pees). The third period was all Blue Rage with A. Nickens getting a hat trick with goals at 7:44 (asst. J. York), 3:20, and 0:59 (asst. C. Pees).

The boys stayed out of the box and worked as a team to earn the 6-2 win. Stay tuned for information regarding Varsity Blue Rage playoff hockey!
